Greater partnered with the California Migration Museum to streamline their XR experience and improve content accessibility.

CalMigration wanted to migrate its mobile app experience into their website—one that could serve as a hub for educational resources and interactive tours highlighting immigrant stories throughout California’s history. They also introduced new brand elements for their visual identify which needed a clear system and cohesive visual language.

Our approach

We developed a design system grounded in ADA compliance, ensuring the site was inclusive, accessible, and built to serve a broader audience. We also introduced unified page structures that made content discovery more intuitive, creating clearer pathways to guided tours and related educational materials.

Migrating the site to Webflow enabled the implementation of more complex features—such as an interactive map and XR tours for each of the featured districts—while keeping the platform easy to manage through a flexible CMS. This balance between technical sophistication and operational simplicity makes Webflow the best platform for this project.
